Interesting to see this isn't getting a super low rating like most Guro. Perhaps because the story is the focus rather than the gore.

I don't read guro for sexual inclinations, but rather that same fucked up sense of dread you get when you read, say, Uzumaki. It just tends to be more sexual focused on here, even more than the obvious sexual metaphors of a lot of monsters in typical manga. I've gotta say I found this incredibly hard to stop reading. The sense of dread is very prevalent throughout. I'm not sure I 100% get the metaphor behind her story and what happens at the end, beyond the obvious physical similarities of 'playing' with something, turning 'pages', and so on.

This is great. I wasn't expecting much in so few pages when I clicked in, and had I not seen the snuff and guro tags I wouldn't have expected the ending. The pacing is really nice, and I enjoy the progression itself. It could easily have been a short romance story with that setup, but the payoff of it being horror was very well done imo.

I can't help but wonder what people think when they find the body. Will the other worker make the connection and learn to fear the bookworm? Or will they assume some deranged killer took advantage of the low traffic? Will the bookworm still be there, or does killing release it? Is it the spirit of a human, or is it some sort of demon merely taking on such a shape? I really enjoyed this.
