I find his attitude to be annoying through most of this. But then he does something cool and you can understand why she fell for him. He's a very flawed character. A coward but willing to step up to do what he feels is right regardless of the consequences. She's a little too saintly on the other hand, would be nice if she got aggressive at the end to force him to man up instead of just being fine with him being wishy washy constantly. Short of buying him an engagement ring there's literally nothing more she could have done to show how serious she was about him to get through his thick skull.

Still, I'm a sucker for full tank story arcs with happy couples so favorited it goes.
