Everyone is pretty lucky that I was so close to finishing this when that retard @noregretmyman dropped the MTL version. Had I been in the early stages of this, I probably would have just dropped it or put it on the back burner. Why they think anyone would want to read their dumpster fire version is beyond me. And the small handful of readers who defend such low-effort MTL are equally as retarded. But probably worst of all are the moderators who allow clowns like @noregretmyman to upload low-effort garbage. Anyone can download a doujinshi and put it through Google lens, there is no value add or reason to share. There really should be a ban on this kind of MTL. But, as it stands, the site allows fools to upload trash that discourages real translations.

The topic of MTL has been argued to death in the community. The mods have made many small adjustments over the years but not alone, in fact over the years the mods have actually made many changes and corrections because users complained and brought problems to their attention.

This is my two cents but if there is a proper translation that checks all marks of being a more complete work in the span of 30 days from the original MTL release, it should be fine to take it down the MTL. it's not something people have had for years and would be overly attached too and I think it wastes storage space on the site and can cause confusion in searches.
An obvious solution to the confusion would be a filter that people agree to, or allow people to use said tags. If MTL has to be on the site, It's doing a disservice to the people who upload the MTL because it causes a massive amount of backlash towards them. I believe one could easily perceive the mods as being toxic here by not coming up with a proper solution that actually works for the community.

As a side note I think main reason MTL for games has happened and has been halfheartedly accepted by the community is because it can take years for a game to become translated properly, and having a foreign menu makes it an incredibly unplayable experience. Don't expect the same thing to ever happen in this space because it's not equivalent.

I could have sworn they stated they made some rulings in regards to malicious uploads of mtl which I imagine really only came to their attention because of rather vocal complaints. More to the point I wasn't talking exclusively about changes to MTL here but site changes in general it's an extremely neutral statement saying they have listened and made changes based on what people said. Honestly I'm more used to the years of complaining about CGrascal uploads from all the way back in 2009 with nothing being done for so long they actually improved.

"Rough translation" or any tag in the same vein, doesn't really matter anyway. You tag one gallery, and the uploader would upload another 10 mtl without giving a single fuck (I'm talking about you, gagak ireng).
Not to mention just to tag a gallery with rough translation, you have to put some effort in comparing the raw, typing the lines one by one and explain why they're wrong. For it to be meaningful, either:
1. Whitelisted users for rough translation tag are able to tag rough translation without having to point out the errors. Or,
2. Any uploader who has "rough translation" in their gallery will be automatically tagged as such when they upload their translation.
