to be honest, i do feel pretty bad for this artist. he was making a reasonable/comfy living via patreon, something most artists only dream of, only for nintendo's hyper aggressive lawyers to basically wreck everything with a snap of the fingers

this existing seems to be kind of a concession that the last reboot attempt isn't working out, but this one's also a bit late considering the palworld train departed months ago...

Do he even share any PROOF that nintendo do something about his comic? I don't really believe in that. There was bigger, better and more popular pokemon porn comic like 9tales and no one give a fuck about it.

I think the idea was that someone sent him a scary-looking C&D and regardless of whether it was actually Ninbembo or not, he was scared of getting nuked, so he just played it safe and stopped updating that comic entirely. There's a few other artists that also removed references to Pokemon in their stuff around the same time. The one that comes to mind is Fuf's "Blazing a Trail" going from a pokemon comic to a generic comic with very similar- yet not copyrighted- designs.

He was selling physical merchandise of oversexed eeveelutions. Mainly hardback copies of his comic, which made it very easy for nintendo to track him down.

He keeps painting himself into a corner. When you only have one note to play, its hard to make a decent symphony. Strip away the overlay of Pokemon/Pals/Whatever and he's got interesting characters that he does nothing with. Kinda sad to waste it all on the same handful of porn situations over and over and over and over and over....
