Wow, a really dark story. with the possession price is so high that would lead to your own death. But the twist of having another chance to have a life with a longer lifespan makes th plot less grim. The artwork is quite good.

Maybe the Grim Reaper is looking for a more convenient way to ferry souls from one place to another? Considering Hibiki had a full life ahead of herself that she was going to throw away.
While Andou was trying to live an exciting life through finding a girlfriend, but only found addiction in pleasure which was the life he wanted to live and he could get that from Hibiki's life.

So, the Grim Reaper maybe thought, "Instead of letting a perfectly good, convenient life die and suffer, I can give it to someone else."
Uber Possession could probably be just a means for giving greater purposes to lives that no longer want to be lived.
