Ignoring how horrifying the ideal of this is(seriously, this is some scary stuff), Why does no one question why the mannequins look like their friends/family? At first I thought it was like the Hobi Hobi no Mi from One Piece. Where no one remembers them, but if they are being reported missing, that can't be the case. So what the hell?

I didn't write the thing so I can only guess as far as the rest of you, but judging my previous stories from this artist, the "forgetfulness" only affects the immediate surroundings, like men in black. Some force is turning women into mannequins and then wiping the memories of those around them, and then a company that specializes in such a thing collects them. That doesn't mean they are necessarily dead to the world, however, as records would still exist, someone notices that they disappeared and no one knows what happened to them.

I'm not saying it's top-notch storytelling or anything, but it is just a bunch of bullshit and magic that isn't meant to be analyzed too thoroughly. This artist often handwaves or glosses over things, I would love a 30-page narrative that makes sense but I'll take it.

Even if there's a localized memory wipe effect, the fact these women turned mannequins are sold to normal stores, while people are looking for the women these things look exactly like, while the police don't even bother investigating leads one to think this writer is a fucking idiot by ignoring this massive convenience induced plot hole.
