The way this is written and drawn, there are leaps in time between that aren't telegraphed and don't necessarily flow into one each smoothly. It goes from the wizard talking about "a power" straight to a new character feeling herself up, then a ghost escapes her. It's a followable series of events, but it's a jerky experience to read through.
Plus, just as a composition nitpick, jumping from panels 2-3 broke the 180 rule by having the character facing to the left suddenly be facing the right. Generally, that's a no-no in situations like this
