Hah, this makes me want to read Bakuman. I'm sure reusing the same drawing is probably a in-joke of the series, that and how much press WSJ mangaka must be under.

It's an interesting read regardless of reading the manga series. Though like most doujins, reading the series helps to add a bit of extra enjoyment from it having a familiar development of characters. The art itself is very reminiscent of the original art of the manga but still maintains a unique style of its own through use of shading and panel arrangement. It also caters to several fetishes and the repetition of that one scene does well to represent an overall feel of the inspired characters from the series. The translation of this was a great share since there are many who could not wait for it myself included. Personally I don't much care for the first few scenes in the office but the second half really got my attention. Again a great share.

I think this entire doujin expresses the fan frustrations with Azuki becoming an almost non-character during a certain arc in its story. Kind of funny in its dark and sarcastic way.
