Reading between the lines, she was seduced and groomed into a sexual relationship with a teacher (may or may not have been the first one we see) who abused her in all sorts of ways. To cope with it she re-framed it as "love" and that got further twisted into wanting to be "seen" by him forever, because she's been so sullied that she doesn't think that anybody else would. And now she's gotten addicted to that feeling of being seen, and keeps repeating the pattern.

Fantastic art as always from this artist, interesting to see this perspective and treatment of grooming from the victim's perspective, and quite surprising given that that their previous work has mostly been male fantasy fulfillment.
