The man who would buy Midway tries to break her in front of him using drugs and raw force, but Midway, now in love, refuses to break and instead taunts her captor, spitting in his face and moaning her love to her beloved even as the psychopath ends her life. Midways's story could end here, but it does not. After throwing her corpse overboard and mocking the sailor with the intention to let him starve to death, Midway's attacker is suddenly eviscerated by the airstrike from a single Hellstriker Bomber.

Midway has returned, in a sense - a new Midway, born from the love and affection of the one who was killed and thrown overboard. She retrieves her beloved, issuing a dire warning against any who would dare pursue her - she will defend her lover with all she can muster. Her friend, a fellow Abyssal Ship, asks her if this truly is what she wants, when Midway happily says that these feelings are what she inherited.

Taking her unconscious lover with her, Midway returns to the sea.
