@inugamikun - I don't find it that confusing. The ending was a full epilogue, not just post tournament but one followed all the way to her death and then even to the afterlife. Apparently in her afterlife she took her form to her 16 year old self and re-met all the her comrades who died in the tournament. While Miho lived a life of full of guilt, apparently her comrades held no grudge and accepted that least they all died for something. Quite bittersweet.

As a fan of all animes / mangas, this is one of the reason personally have mixed feeling with Girls und Panzer, Strike Witch, and other similar animes, when one considers the reality of their story setup. Still love them all tho.

This also reminds me of reading the accounts of young female trainee under unit 731 and other J-Imperial unit training. Some initially peeing and crying while in training with bayoneting, sadly they get desensitize, and probably so will Girls und Panzer if they keep this up.

Can't say I like it completely, however great job TK with the 3 part doujin series, for portraying GuP with a mix of 'Battle Royal'? It is already very dangerous mixing Girls und heavy machineries.

Sort of nasty dream version as if the girls were actually in WWII, but of course they are not because the Nazi would not let women fight. Also of course in the Girls fights carbon nano tube armor on the inside makes penetration of WWII weapons impossible on the tanks and also stops tank fires from harming the crew as carbon nano tube can stop almost all of the heat.

Now girls can die in the sport, as explained keeping your head out has gotten people killed but it very rare, guess they have rule and agreement not to fire machine guns at exposed crew members.

Awesome! just like beauty and the beast, this manga is about beauty and the killing machines,the fire,the blood,and of course,the death……it's brutal sence of beauity really shaken me. Even after so many years, watched so many novels, pictures, movies; read so many news about war and death. This manga still punched a great felling of terror into my heart. You may ask what kind of terror is it? My answer will be this:The terror of destorition of Humanity, the terror of human became something lower than beasts, the terror of what I love, I velue be totally destructed.Even in the end, like you guys said, little girls finally reunion in afterlife, heart warming. But that is Fucking Afterlife.They really dead in the real life in their teen,some of them even dead in great suffer (like burn dead alive,for example). In that case, I will not say it is a comfort ending. It only remands me every terrible death of those lovely girls (Including Miho who was tortured during her entire lifetime until death, I think.), and the good lives they can enjoy IF they are alive.
