It's not masturbation because it's two separate entities existing in the same existential plane. Genetically they're exactly the same (save for chromosomes), but they're not existing in different planes of existence. Thus it is just hyper-incest. Or selfcest.
It still wouldn't be masturbation if he went back/forward in time and fucked himself. It'd most definitely be gay, though.
