Since i'm bored, Here the answer for page 22:
From the lamp and the Shadows' top we have a triangle with the bottom length = 20 feet
The left one have a shadow = it's height. So Tan(a) = 1 (a is the left corner)
The right one have a shadow = 3/2 it's height. So Tan(b) = 2/3 (b is the right corner)
Draw a straight line form the lamp to the ground (Call it "H"), split the og triangle in half and both smaller tris have a 90 degree corners.
Skip some annoying step, We have two equation: (X is the bottom left of the left tri, Y is the right)
X + Y = 20 => X + 3/2 X = 20 => 5/2 X = 20 => X = H = 8 (feet)
X = H = 2/3 Y
So the lamp is 8 feet high from the floor.
