From what I remember, the original fic this was based on actually sets up a satisfying arc about a dude taking back control over a sexual situation, as opposed to your typical half-hearted attempts at role reversal.
Then it gets interrupted by a plot dump about their incestuous carny lineage for some reason? And I don't think it ruined it, but it certainly fucked up the pacing.
