It was an RPG maker game, not a big proper one. Dozens of those get released every year and yes, most of them are made by less than 3 people. And no he has shown ZERO signs of even attempting to start working on it despite using it as an excuse to not post anything for months straight, then post some throwaway commercial work he got paid for, and then post nothing again. Literally, all he ever has shown were 2-3 initial screenshots.

Fakku only gives a better deal to the minority of people who get their books printed. He also threw all the artists who get scammed by Fakku under the bus by shilling the living shit out of them so that clueless idiots like you who only hear 5% of the story (that conveniently paints fakku as good guys) would jump all over internet spewing it.

Make no mistake, the subscription is, by far, the biggest moneymaker for Fakku and you will NEVER hear them bragging about how much it makes money to the artists the same way they do about their dead ass doujin store. Because it does not. It just fills the pockets for them and the publishers who make having months worth of artist's work taken by Fakku a contractual obligation without ever compensating it.

Ah, so he "was" making RPG-maker illustrations. He's not the first artist to say he's working on CG art for one, posting promising progress for like a year or so, then stops doing it. I tend to like many of those games, if they happen to have the fetishes I like. My DL-Site accounts are filled with purchases of only those types of games. The main issue, I guess, is that it requires these artists to make the actual games, debug, etc. It's a shame really, cuz otherwise they got nice ideas and the art to make them a reality.

People fellate him because they like what work he puts out, however infrequently, and they probably don't know about and/or don't care about his Patreon or what he does with Fakku. So I'm not surprised by it at all.
I tend to not get as outright mad about that sort of Patreon fuckery. In my experience a lot of them don't have outright deceitful intentions, and are genuinely that bad at planning projects without any sort of formal obligations in place. That said, they are often lying to themselves and do eventually become complacent when there are no repercussions; plus it's dubious whether a degree of self delusion really makes it any more acceptable. Not to mention it's obviously not the case that every patreon letdown is just a well intending fuckup. Either way I absolutely don't look positively on that person, but I also sort of accept that's the risk I take with Patreon and I don't really take it personally. Though I know perspectives on that vary.

What I'm curious about is were people actually funding for multiple months with zero concrete updates? There are ways to tell if someone's working on a game, if there's no sign of that I don't know why you'd continue pledging.

As for the Fakku stuff - yeah that sounds kinda like he's a shill, or ignorant. I still don't think it's worth getting worked up over personally, but I understand where you're coming from.

Look. i understand many of the complains about Shindol and his patreon but if the guy didn't made any progress since his announcement about the game then you should stop sending money. i have been reading him since sarashi ai and that tank was great so it's hard to think he needed money. i appreciate the scanalator for uploading this but eventually the cucks of Fakku will take it and it's a shame because he's a really good storyteller but the people at Fakku are pretty much taking some good artists.
