The sun is setting, casting a low red hue that compliments the autumn landscape of the fields and forests. A warm strong breeze, combined with the smell of sea air and the cries of seagulls indicates you're nearing your destination long before you crest the final hill separating yourself from the dense, woodland valleys and the magnificence of the South Gaean Sea. Taking an unneeded but appreciated breath from your hike, you scan the area.
The Port of Hildefuns lies before you, a formerly modest harbor town now bustling with activity due to the discovery of the Tower. Originally of a respectable but slightly undersized population, this most recent month it has likely doubled in size with adventurers, thrill-seekers, and those who seek to make money off of them moving in and setting up their establishments. Even from this distance, the signs of a healthy (or at least busy) community are obvious; chimneys burn, lights have been lit, and the general raucous sounds of partygoers and merchants echo to this space. Furthermore, an abundance of ships are visible, far more than the town's port can obviously handle. The surrounding beaches of Hilde are littered with watercraft of various sizes, from 3-masted military vessels to makeshift canoes and rowboats.
