I know i'm complaining a lot lately but holy shit this is horrible.
You desperately need a new scanner ASAP!
Either that or you need to stop resizing your images.
I hope you're not doing this on purpose.

>le autism insult XD
Oh wow, you sure got me there buddy! I'm not sure i can recover from that one, might just kill myself.
@werty101
I must've missed your comment about that, sorry.

Autism is a very serious disability. Support your nearest local charity to help prevent anymore tragedies like little timmy up there.

Commenting on every single one of these is stupid, but seriously, what is with all the downscaled scans?

@werty101: A bad scan is better than no scan, sorta. Who is the original scanner?

Like I've said multiple times before, these are not my scans.
I'm simply reposting them here.

@Zakuzelo
I'm afraid this is the only quality the original scanner has made them available in.
I don't know whether he purposely scans them at such low resolution, or downscales them after to save bandwidth or something, but we can't really do anything about it.

I can stop posting them, but it won't make a difference.
Someone else will simply repost them instead.

My view on low quality scanning.

I think that I should stop it.
Proactive provision of low quality scanning reduces the incentive for other scanners to provide different scans.

Do not you think it is absurd?
What is meaningful for scans that can not be corrected afterwards?
It is obviously wrong to upload a low-quality version actively, especially about recently released doujinshi.
Just by robbing other people's turns has nothing merit.
As far as I can see, I think that the number of translations of these scans is very low.
I would like to listen to opinions not only from the scanner side but also from the translator side.

It certainly may be so.
However, there is nothing good even if you continue as it is.
There are only a few people currently uploading scans of this hand.
I think that it is important to create an atmosphere that prevents such scans from circulating.
What you should do is to consult with them directly.

,,What you should do is to consult with them directly.´´

Look, nothing personal against you, but I don't think knowing the whole set of people willing to scan doujins constitutes a feasible demand. How to identify these people (at least in this site)?

OK, there really exist plausible chances of disincentives to upload improved scans. But IMHO I'd rather think to the contrary (although it is wishful thinking), since there are visible cases of some users here uploading scans with (at least somewhat) better resolution, in order to compensate for the lower quality ones, such as the Keita Hasegawa's Sanae doujin uploaded yesterday. A matter of time.

That's why I propose these low-res scans continue up there as a temporary solution, until better ones appear. Although they may be a pain in the neck for the eventual translator, it is hard to ignore people (in this site, to start with) here that tolerate raw scans with such quality.

I have not heard any opinion from you.
However, I will answer dare.
I feel that you have a very optimistic mindset.
Do you know how much scans have been replaced so far?
If you examine it you will find that there are many doujinshi not being replaced.

I used to actively replace in the past.
But now it is the cause of suffering.
Honest talk, I got tired.
This is because low-quality scanning comes in large quantities on the premise of replacement.

It is dangerous to apply that idea to a doujin just released.
It is not mandatory for the scanner to upload doujinshi.
You are not thinking about the feelings of the scanner at all.
To replace the low quality scan, you need a lot of money and a lot of time.

Ask qazmlpok who uploaded your statement.
Perhaps, I think there is no good reply.

Oh, by the way, I do not need a translated version.
However, the majority of people need a translated version.
With that in mind, think about the reason why translation is not actively done.

That would be me. I am really mad about all of these low quality scans popping up, especially for things I was really looking forward to. I also know how to scan doujinshi, so I've tried fixing some of these garbage scans.

How many of these do you really think I can fix? How much anger do you think I have? 99% of these uploads are going to remain as-is. This is another one I was looking forward to. I'm not rescanning this. I doubt anyone else will either.

If I could have my way, of course we would always have the highest quality scans available and didn't have to deal with these, but sadly, that's simply not possible.

>I think that it is important to create an atmosphere that prevents such scans from circulating.

This is the internet, I'm afraid. Once you upload something, it will be shared by others everywhere and there really is no way of stopping it, unless you enforce a rule on the site where scans below a certain quality cannot be posted and will be expunged.
Even if you somehow convince all the people currently reposting these low quality scans not to do it (some might listen, some might not) someone else completely unaware will come and upload them eventually.
I tried it in the past, stopped uploading these low res scans right after they were available and they were uploaded here a week later anyway.

>However, there is nothing good even if you continue as it is.

Really the only reason why I'm even bothering with posting these myself is to get some virtual funds for the bounties I have.
I figured, these scans will be posted here no matter what, so I might as well do it myself if it leads to us having more digital scans as a result.
Last month for example I got these 3 bounties done,
/g/1007927/eb10db0260/
/g/1009123/ddf84db48e/

Wait, so you're intentionally uploading bad scans to cheat bounty posters out of their virtual cash? That's a pretty fucking shitty thing to do.

Hey, you're entitled to your opinion, but I think you're overreacting here when claiming these uploads as cheating.
Calm down, no matter whatever mechanism could be adopted in this site to prevent the uploading of low quality scans, there are plenty of others that are indifferent to this complaint.
In other words, if such mecanisms could be enforced, chances are high of a considerable drain of users to the other sites, which would be glad to accept both bad scans (since the average/good scans are already uploaded) and, principally, more visits/users (once there are people not interested in registering accounts in hentai sites, casual visitors, etc.).

And then, you can expunge bad scans here but don't do the same in others, making the loss of interest in uploading better scans still persist. And the problem of bad scans, no matter how mad some people might be, would still remain unsolved.
