The Japanese seem to think that sex is like a Highlander duel: the winner takes the loser's head and with it, their power (i.e. sexual prowess level). With this in mind, several hentai cliches suddenly make sense:
- Doms (usually male in hetero) gain levels by fucking, but Subs (usually female in hetero) lose them, up to and including a drop to level zero upon losing their virginity.
