This is a translation of the 7th chapter of Fukumaaya's Megamori! tank (located on pages 123-142 of the linked gallery).

Once again, qberg did the redrawing and decensoring for this chapter, so thank him (and of course the anon who worked on the typesetting) for putting in the time and effort.

We hope you enjoy this story and happy Valentine's Day.

Special thanks to KirbyDances for double-checking, and subsequently correcting, the lines on panel 2 of page 3 pre-release.

*Please do not put this translation behind any paywall*

Yeah, what you said is true. I forgot about that there are some otakus that just speak like this, so even if SenColle weren't a feudal-era sort of game, she still could have chosen to speak like that. Either way though, the translation's speech style still works out properly as a translation.

Nicely done. Great translation and decensoring. Looks excellent. I like the internal view on p.13, that's. a great view-point. More good x-ray on p. 16 and 18. Thanks for sharing this!

Thank you to you guys for all the hard work, really appreciate it.
Does anyone have a recommendation for other doujin that have similar heroine trait (nerdy kinda girl) like this one? Preferably translated.
Kinda wish it had a tag of it own.

Why the fuck is she speaking like that?

@ NotSwordfish & BattleshipGascogne:

She's speaking in an archaic style imitating feudal-era samurai speech. She's an otaku/nerd for the KanColle parody "SenColle" (where 戦 Sen is an clearly an abbreviation for 戦争 Sensou "war"), which seems to be a series involving feudal-era style characters (samurai and ninjas probably), so she is imitating their speech as the "nerd" she is.

She is an otaku though, so even though in this case she is copying the samurai style of speech, she still is like an internet sort of otaku, so she still says things like "lol" and "normies" (like if some 4channer started copying some anime characters' speech).

@Crystalium The "sessha/dono" samurai style of speech is memetic in Japanese otaku culture. See also Saori from OreImo, who speaks the same way.
Also, I figured that since KanColle is about ship-girls, "SenColle" probably gets the "sen" from "sentouki" (warplanes) or "sensha" (tanks).

I don't think she's imitating any speech pattern from a fictional anime series, but the translation you did of her speaking works out just fine in the end.
