Your story about "Calabash brothers" is SIMPLY NOT TRUE.
It was not the kids pissing off a sleeping demon. It was the fault of malayan pangolin(a kind of animal living in mountains) mistakingly broke the seal of those demons and resulted in releasing them.
And this is the reason why those seven boys were sent by the Chinese god so that they would defeat the deamons

I mean, there was nothing wrong with this cartoon and I watched it and certainly enjoyed it when I was young.
I agree that something is going wrong in the Chinese animation but that is not the excuse for you to be rude here.
