1. For me, the "best" version of Aunt May was the Ultimate Marvel version. Ultimate May Parker was still a retired senior citizen, but was still hale-&-hearty for her senior age, and a woman of iron will and discipline. Ultimate May not only stood strong after her husband (Ben Parker) was murdered in order to continue to raise the teenage Peter Parker as a single parent; but later in the series, she also took-in and adopted (Ultimate) Gwen Stacy after Gwen lost her police captain father when he was killed in the line of duty. Gwen's blood-mother was a heartless bitch who never wanted Gwen, almost immediately disinheriting and abandoning Gwen after Captain Stacy died so she could be "free" of Gwen. On top of that, despite having retired, Ultimate May went BACK to work in order to support & provide for both her children, while still day-to-day caring for them. Ultimate May Parker was a woman to be admired.

2. As for the younger Aunt May depiction(s), I am surprisingly okay with it. For some comic-book history, the original concept for the massive age-gap between "Classic Marvel" Aunt May and (then teenage) Peter was to be symbolic of the Generation Gap social idea(s) of time, all those many decades ago. Today, we deal with the social problems of underage parents, or couples having children too early (and not being ready for it); and it is the children who pay the price for it. :(

I am not saying this applies to MCU Aunt May (obviously, it does not), but media (art, comics, movies, television, etc.) often reflects the social times.

3. (@Muffdiver884) That all being said, Marisa Tomei is indeed hot ;D . I was fine with her playing MCU Aunt May, and would not be unhappy for seeing more of her as Aunt May in the future. :)

4. And damn...the Art Quality of the cover-page to this h-comic is also super-hot :) . Props to Tracy Scops for that.

5. [EDITED]: @Chup@Cabra... That would have been a very good parallel punchline reflecting the SpM: Homecoming post-credits punchline. :)

6. [EDITED]: @ThunderKurono... I never said that it was an absolute, or universally applied, or pointing at anyone in particular. Quite the opposite, I did specifically state such social-to-media parallels did not apply to MCU Aunt May as well. :)

I applaud that you had two career-established parents to raise you. Far too many others are on the unfortunate opposite end of that spectrum; either having children too young or underage, &/or lacking any job-/financial-stability to raise children with. Something which as a former Social Worker, I encountered far too often. :(

Tbh when I was 15, my parents were 48 and 42 respectively, and if you do the math, they didn't have children early. Now I'm 22.
They already had a career when I was born. So it's understandable that this MCU aunt May is below her fifties, it's supposed to be HER AUNT, not her GREAT-aunt.
So it's not being unrealistic. And I do agree with your second point tho. But I still have my point to consider.

To me, the best Aunt May was the one from the 90's cartoon (if only because she was the one I met first). She was the stereotypical old lady, but with a very gentle and nice heart. She's the kind of woman who would stand by Peter no matter what, and you can tell why would he want to protect her at all costs.

*Reads comments*

Preface: I'm in my late 20's and I have a blood related aunt who's 9 years old (pop-pop been busy).

May's not an aunt by blood, and an older Ben could have married an 18 year old May shortly before Peter's parents died. Leaving a relatively small age gap between Peter and May. *shrug* I don't really know or care.

At least Marvel didn't, just for diversity's sake and after Ben's death, make her a FTM transgender asian/arab man that now goes by Uncle Marty who goes to clubs and chases pussy with Peter...

Really though it's just fucking fiction (this comic literally is fucking fiction), and people are caring WAY too much about the content and race/gender representation in fictional universes lately. To the point that they need to be told: "unplug, and go outside. No, not for a day I mean forever, you're the reason why we can't just have nice fictional things."

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Threads on fire about Aunt May porn. I've seen comments argue the age of characters. All those moments will be lost in time, white tears in cream. Time to fap.

@Shadowperla

The answer to your question greatly depends on how old the answerers like their women.

But, if we're getting technical, Earth-616 Aunt May is still the same as before. References to "MILF May" mostly refer to the one from the recent movie, where this comic puns its title from, because of how much younger she is as compared to the "granny with white hair" May that most people are used to.

Her de-ageing in the movies was just another change done to lighten the tone of Homecoming by making her closer to an "older sister" archetype and, possibly, to distract from Uncle Ben's death. At the crux of Peter becoming Spider-Man was his guilt from the event to the point where it's an even bigger trauma than Batman's because it WAS Peter's fault that Ben died. But, of course, they can't have that in a lighthearted Disney/Sony/Marvel "like, OMG, so awesome" kid comedy.
