Otoyomegatari is one of just three series that I've been following lately, and it's truly an exceptional one. Whether you like history, romance, a setting with a culture little explored by our media, or just a good story with some very charming characters - you really can't go wrong with Otoyome!

Being true to the original, much of the Japanese dialogue here feels very formal or simply archaic. I hope I succeeded in carrying some of it over. Also, I've only read this series in the original Japanese, so I have no idea how my translation fits with the English version of the original series.

Haha, yeah I guess you can call it that. Halal taiou (ハラール対応) literally means halal compliant, though I've only seen it used in the context of the food & restaurant industries.
