Edit

1st of all, don't shoot the messenger, please.

I am totally aware that posting only an incomplete gallery and telling you to go to his patreon it can be easily seen as a dick move (i agree).
TBH, wasn't really sold on the idea of doing it because of that.

Just so we are clear, i don't make any money of this, since i am actually one of his patreons, so if anything i am losing money, lol.

The idea of his patreon is basically to have a reliable way to have the naruhina doujins translated at a regular pace.
The people vote those that they want translated and he goes from there.
You know that most of the translators don't work for free, and getting a single doujin translated and typesetted can be expensive outside the sadpanda enviroment.
Just look at how many stuff never gets translated.

The reason why the doujins are on a paywall temporally is mostly because he feels that there needs to be an incentive for those who put their money for those doujins to get translated, think of it as an early access.
All the translated stuff will always be released freely betwen 1 or 2 months later, unless the doujin in question is still being sold online.

The last thing they want is to hurt the artists, which is why they try to avoid posting the stuff online if it will make the artists lose sales on theirs doujins.
It is also one of the reasons why some of the doujins that were released some months ago don't have their raws out yet, since they are still being sold online.
They also ask permission to the artist before doing anything.

I just want to avoid any kind of misconception for handling this poorly.
If you think that are better ways to do this, i think that he is open to sugestions.

Why not just post the entire work? If you're going to wrongly post another person's art online, don't try to make a profit off of it.

i don't think it's the right move tbh, most of us who read doujinshi translated by TLAnon know his Patreon. by doing this you are only just giving bad image not only to the translator but the NH doujinshi ( just look at the ratings ) which is very sad cause they are all high quality doujinshi from very good artists, if I was an artist I would be mad that my art is limited by paywall in other countries. regardless, it's cool that you can subscribe to get the doujinshi early but i don't see the point at advertising with uncomplete doujinshi.

@Hecatom It's fine and I don't blame you. I even understand the logic, since translating is hard work and sometimes there needs to be some motivation to do so. I won't blame TLAnon for continuing to do what he's doing. At the very least, he seems to care about the artists and encourages people to support them.

@TsukikoYuki
I think that the problems boils down to not making it clear from the begining how they work.

@Miserly
I know, which is why i didn't want to post it at the beginning, but since they asked i decided to do it at the end.
Plus, any kind of sample or preview will be always rated lowly no mater what. So i don't really think it matters much. At least i hope so.

As for the paywall and the artists.
I know for a fact that TL Anon and UTL ask permision to the artist before doing anything, which is why they gravitate towards certain doujins more than others, since they have the okay from the artists like Satomi, as long as they don't release the raws/translation until the doujin is sold out online.

I agree with you that releasing a preview certainly wasn't the best idea, so i am gonna tell them to just avoid that, so it does not look like they are being assholes, putting the translation behind a paywall and being scummy.

I think that it was better to follow my guts and just not poested the previews, lol.

I would like to offer an apology to everyone in here.Ultimately, the decision to post the previews here was my call. Please don't hate on Hecatom or TLAnon for what is my mistake.The full doujin will be posted on February 22nd to celebrate National Cat Day.Again I am sorry, no more previews will be posted in here anymore.
