Honestly, I am so glad I decided to wait until this series is completed to read it. The long wait and waiting for the 'porn and bad end' was unhealthy, and reading it all at once, I was honestly hoping for the heroine to win out at the end. She got fucked as a human AND as a heroine, losing every battle once she got figured out, which makes this victory all the more sweeter. She needed this and we needed this to remind ourselves she is a hero in the end. And I am happy to have read this.

You gotta remember heroine defeat is only as good if you remember heroines are supposed to win.
