Page 2: While in modern Japanese, "kisama" is an insulting way to address someone, so "you bastard" would be fine, in older Japanese, "kisama" was a perfectly acceptable (and polite) way to address someone.

In manga and anime, knights, samurai, and similar types will address people as "kisama" - in this case they're not being rude, but simply saying "you."
