@geemergary, unfortunatly Japan's current political climate leans closer to the conservative side than in recent years, The 2020 Olympics aren't helping in this matter.

This probably isn't how it works, but, unlike a physical copy where you can walk in to a store and have a clerk actually verify your age, buying something online is far less secure in terms of age confirmation, so they can get away with censoring it more, by using the excuse that it's to protect innocent youths. Digital's are probably getting more fucked over cause unlike an actual book you can pop this on pretty much any device, and sneak it around, instead of a conspicuous 200+ page physical book.
