I was wondering about that, there are only two fics I know that I know that have this sort of dynamic and one of the has Skye and Savage being utter wrecks of animal beings (mentally, not as characters). This one seemed to have them as OK mentally and actually open about their feelings, so I was wondering if this was related to that series.
