Tifa + Futanari = Tifanari

Part 2 of the GO doujin. I "might" do the Yuffie one, but while the artwork is nice, it didn't interest me as much as a Futanari Tifa getting teased

Editor note: I was trying to darken and brighten the colors, but I couldn't find any middle ground (either it looked great or details where disappearing), so I only whitened the text boxes and speech bubbles.

Hint of the day for easy leveling with GIMP:

Click on the "Colors" menu and click on "Levels". In the Levels Window you will see similar icons to the Color Picker Tool. If you point with the mouse on it you will eiter see the Tooltips "Select Black Point", "Select Grey Point" or "Select White Point". Click on "Select White Point" and click on a point in the picture that's supposed to be white and do the same with "Select Black Point" for a black spot in the picture.
Press "OK" and in most of the cases you should be good. This also works with color pictures to remove a greyish look.

This works in other programs but you may find the menu in different places.

If you're looking for another futanari Tifa one where she gets teased, try this series: /g/885605/e9cb8934a4/

There's five total.

Please do the Yuffie one. I've been waiting for years. This is great!

Another tip on GIMP, in the same levels window Ancient-Alien mentioned:
There'll be a histogram of the image which (for this comic) looks something like this:
▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓
▓░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░▓
▓░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░▓
▓░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░▙░░░░░▓
▓░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░█░░░░░▓
▓░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░█░░░░░▓
▓░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░▟▅▟▇█░░░░░▓
▓░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░██████░░░░▓
▓▁░░░░░░▁▃▅▅▇▇▅▃▃▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▃▅███████▅░░▓
▲▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓△▓
There's also a gray arrow in the middle at the bottom which is omitted for lack of good unicode characters I can find that will likely be close to monospaced.

If you drag the arrows so they match the edges of the most notable shaded areas of the histogram, you will drastically improve your levels. There's more to it than that to get it REALLY good, but that's a bare-minimum thing.
Example of a relatively decent setting:
▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓
▓░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░▓
▓░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░▓
▓░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░▙░░░░░▓
▓░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░█░░░░░▓
▓░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░█░░░░░▓
▓░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░▟▅▟▇█░░░░░▓
▓░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░██████░░░░▓
▓▁░░░░░░▁▃▅▅▇▇▅▃▃▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▃▅███████▅░░▓
▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▲▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓△▓▓▓
Note: in this case, moving the gray center arrow (unpictured) around 2/3 of the way to the right (to the edge of the right spike thing) will give you an additional contrast boost. That's the "gamma" slider.
And by the way, thanks for the translation, still. This is just stuff you learn as you do more scanlation stuff. I've done a couple of non-H scanlations under a different pseudonym.
(Also, if you have physical access to a copy of the work, it's always better to set up the scanner's levels correctly prior to scanning than to edit the scanned images afterwards. Similarly, on the subject of quality, please don't use jpeg for things that aren't photographs, since they lose quality every time they get saved. I suggest the use of PNG, a lossless format, instead. I'd also suggest saving to PNG even when working from a JPEG raw like this.)

This is what a sample page looks like when this is done to it (plus a waifu2x denoise beforehand):

BTW, that's an animated PNG. Should work in any modern up to date browser except for IE and Edge.

P.S.:
This gallery, by the same artist, has a futa tifa portion that is not translated. The existing translation only covers the other half. /g/20017/2773496d28/

dragontamer8740: That's one of the pages that made me not do it. Originally I wanted to remove the background (or the other side bleeding through), and the bulging nipple took a hit when I tried that page. I dont have a physical copy so that option is out of my hands :)
But thanks for the tip. I dont exactly have the waifu2x filter, and I guess I shouldn't try to remove the bleeding effect too much, and instead just try to darken.

And for your example, do you go based on Linear or Logarithmic Histogram?

ForteGK: I was mostly interested in Red-rum/jun@jun, but I'll see if I find anything interesting :)

@q91: "do you go based on Linear or Logarithmic Histogram?"
That example used a linear histogram because it's what I'm most used to using (and it's the default in GIMP).
It's a lot easier to get a ballpark with it.

And a really good, top-tier clean will do both the darkening and the bleed removal stuff. But that takes aaaages and the further improvement is somewhat marginal by comparison.
