Two ears good, four ears better? This might be my favorite story I've worked on this year so far; please enjoy!

Notes on the title:
There's some interesting play in the title that I sadly couldn't convey in my translation. "春を招く鈴" (Haru wo Maneku Suzu) plays off of 招き猫 (Maneki Neko, literal: 'beckoning cat'), a figurine of a cat with a raised paw. Known as "lucky cat" or "fortune cat", these figurines can often be found near the front of Japanese shops like restaurants, and are something of a good luck charm. A literal translation of "招く鈴" (Maneku Suzu) would be like 'beckoning bell', but "Suzu" is also the name of the heroine. And because Suzu is a nekomata, "招くスズ" is thus Maneku Neko(mata). A bell/cat monster beckoning for spring.
