you know, after reading this: the way the main character act, the way the mother talk and the way the people surrounding the MC behave, all of this... in Japan? everything seems Americanized/tumblirzed in a very patronizing manner.
The original may be made me cry myself to sleep, but at least it felt genuine and consistent, this one on the other hand looks like the butchered Disney version of a Grimm fairy tale.
