The reactions don't really seem to make much sense. Either have Kaoru maintain this uncharacteristically cold and uncaring side throughout the whole doujin or institute a kind of plot device where his prostrated apology makes sense and has ample reason to be accepted. Don't just flip mid way and have everything be ok. It doesn't make sense.

That said it's an enjoyable and kinky read if you completely ignore all the plot holes, logic errors, and the annoying urge to want to tighten up the girls collars so that they are wearing them properly.
