@Marien Its one of two things and they sort of combine together over time. First a lot of Masculinity came from dudes out actually working the rice fields or docks on the pier. They got super tanned doing such hard work. It becomes a decent enough trope that over time, if the character doesn't really advance the story, outside of being the dick to be sucked, they just put them off to the side, like a dark silhouette. I'm going to try and not strawman you here, but I would hope the issue is not coming from other issues around the world; especially if you are from America like me.
