So... If I understand it correctly, the Main Character was under a fairy curse that make him/her unable to say "no" to whatever sugestion their "couple" may ask that would lead to them getting married.
The fact that he ALSO accidentally swapped places with his doppleganger from an alternate universe where everybody is the opposite sex was an accident [the other was also swapped so the "wish/curse" that "would led them getting married" could somehow happen].
