IMHO, this was just right; it had an element of realism that is more often than not glossed over in similar stories.

Despite the bittersweet flavor, it was a good read.

Wether we like it or not we all make mistakes in life (I guess it comes with being alive), and I'd argue the emotional ones are the ones that hurt most. And it's especially common for hormone-fueled teens to make these kind of mistakes - when you feel the world is yours and you think you can do anything and no one can make you answer for your actions.

I'm happy for these two, though I feel Nozomi getting slapped (or maybe more, I hope not but men are never good with rejection) tells us a lot about what kind of person her previous boyfriend was. And in a way this makes me happier because she's not involved with such a person anymore.

@MHM-2015, I don't think the problem is that she isn't a virgin anymore, but more the fact that she only decided to break off the relationship with the first guy 'after' the childhood friend showed he would allow her to swing branches. That for me is a giant red flag. It would have been more believable if she had parted ways with the first guy before she made a move on the childhood friend.

Something is missing in this story...I feel like it's not complete at all. I think it would have been better off if the author had divided the thing into three chapters. The first where we see her with her first boyfriend (confession, date, sex scene & after maybe a more psychological scene where she regrets what she did and the plan she decides to put in place to win her childhood friend). The second chapter would have been this one, with the scene of the breakup between her and her first boyfriend (who knows, maybe she told him something like "I used you when I NEVER had feelings for you and in addition I cheated on you with another guy this afternoon", and then the slap would have been earned), and finally a third chapter that would have been an after story where MC would take (hypothetically) her childhood friend's anal virginity (why not?).
