TL;DR: Great art, love the artist, weird lighting/shadows and nose choice compared to past.

I wish the artist would try to replicate the way his lighting and shadows were with the Angel Corps series with his new artwork. In his new ones, it's really flat and cartoon-ey. The proportions look more cartoon-ey as well compared to back then. Really loved those art except for the guro part.

And I just can't get over the way he treats noses now compared to back then. His new approach to noses look great in some scenes but in others, they just look like pig noses and each one looks the same with every character.

I think he shifted his approach to get more 'frontal' and 3D looks on characters rather than the usual 'side'/'three-fourths' view that are the usual poses of artists who can't properly draw noses yet (see novice mangakas style) 'cause it's easier to make a reverse L shape than detailed ones but the frontal "pig-like" ones are off putting so I look forward to his future work

It is the dreaded and infamous "Tumblr nose" back from ages forgotten to haunt us once again... But yes, his new style, while better in overall anatomy, still seems like somewhat of a downgrade compared to back then.
