The wording the girl uses isn't unsure in the subject, it's her trying to elicit a response. Like finishing a sentence with "soooo...?"

The dude is asking the girl's mom for permission to date her daughter as a precursor to marriage. You left the dating part out entirely.
The wording you used for the mom's thoughts doesn't convey her thoughts well. She's judging him on appearances, and he looks weak in her eyes.
Out loud, she tells him "I don't like you, so too bad, the answer is no." and "Even as the family head, I'm still a woman. Why would I possibly be okay with my only daughter dating a man who would willingly kowtow to a woman? If you want a woman of the Koyomi family, you'd better show some strength."

Bottom of the page - Mirai doesn't say anything about the "main house", she's actually admitting that she knows nothing about her own family.

Really egregious here - the mom starts off saying that they're the descendants of EXORCISTS, not DEMONS, and the passing of time has seen their ancestral powers weakening.
She goes on to say that what the Koyomi family judges a man by is the same thing it's always done: namely, a Man (capital M intentional - she makes it a point to draw attention to the "man" kanji) who can continue the family line and then help rear the children right.

"Having the chance" and "just perfect" aren't part of the guy's dialog here, either. He's just turning the blame around on her for insisting that he give his virginity to HER instead of her DAUGHTER, despite being in her thirties/forties herself.
