Okay real talk, is it really so damaging to an artist when an international market opens through free downloads?

Porn, and damn near everything else, has a market that only grows when people can actually SEE IT and judge for themselves if it's worth supporting.
I've gone from pirating anime, manga, LN's and I down-right support others to do the same so long as they support the content they genuinely enjoy.
And if the artist is smart about it (e.g. Patreon), they can make money and promote healthy artist-customer relations that will spread.

TL;DR: Artists should quit bitching and learn to see the good in the bad.

You're viewing this from a strictly business/monetization standpoint which I agree with you but in the eyes of many Japanese artists, they value the integrity of the the people who legitimately support their works (the people who actually purchase them). So when they realize that their true native supporters (the people that they appreciate) are spending their hard-earned money while foreigners like us (who already have a bad rep to begin with to these artists) are getting these works for free, it really irks them.

AKA Japanese artists are big babies about their work. There are tons that never translate anything into english, but then get butthurt when we pirate and translate it. We aren't even in the market they care about.

Love the art of this artist, though sadly while I do feel bad for the artist I doubt that one page will stop people from doing this sort of thing.

@Shades of Blue : porn is still a little bit different though. It's hard to pay for porn when you have someone who can see what you pay for on your account. You have to set up some stuff in order for this to be anonymous which is more complex than "just paying your manga in bookshop".

I do think even with proper official translation, being a porn artist is, more often than not, quite precarious.
