As always, Arcee and Airachnid are adorable in this series. I do like Optimus' design, feeling like a combination of his Prime, RID 2015, and Movie-verse. Maybe some Gundam inspiration as well?

This isn't even all that odd. The actual canon of the IDW comics (An officially published comic Hasbro comic) throws same sex, transgender themes, innuendo and sexuality around like it's going out of style. In their continuity, Arcee's jumped from being transgender (Forcefully :/) to being retconned to be a lesbian.

Well, there were people complaining about the whole "forced to become a woman against her will" part. Apparently, that did not sit well with some folks. Personally, I fell that's a strange way to introduce females into the universe.
