Why the hell did the founders of that village (some of whom where basically rocket scientists) make some random stories being passed down from generation to generation instead of... I dunno... passing down books and the knowledge to read from generation to generation? Make books about producing paper and ink top priority for preservation and make it into a religion for each person to copy an old book every year of their life. Also there's way too few people in that village for 3000 years of child production or whatever number of years it was, even if some were wandering off to make their own village somewhere. Of course there's a ton more that just doesn't make sense but still, random stories instead of books? Come on now.

What makes Kohaku and the other villages cave people? That would suggest they're early homo sapiens or neanderthals, but they're normal humans, the same species as us, who can build straw houses and have human-level intelligence where they can have a conversation with a person from today's era.
