(initial post, page 11)

1. Overall, the art quality is very good, and the individual stats & light backstories add a lot to this. ;)

2. The tavern wenches (race-wise)… I think I would have liked it better if 3 of 6 of the cast were not elven sub-racial types, since the D&D-verse has such a wide variety. Could have included dwarves, halflings, half-orcs(?), or even a "plain" ole human.

3. And for those less D&D fluent (&/or some D&D nerdism ;p ) for the D&D races depicted...
- a.) Tieflings ~ A race whose ancestors were humans interbred with fiendish-devils in the ancient past, but are a true-breeding race in the present. Sporting horns, a long tail (often prehensile, but not always), and flame-red skin, Tieflings are often socially outcast out of fear of their appearance &/or fiendish ancestry; however, Tieflings can be just as Good as any other more common races (or just as Evil).

- b.) Goliaths ~ Descended from humans who interbred with stone giants (thus Goliaths' generally greyish skin tones), Goliaths are a race that balance between the two. Larger and bulkier than normal humans, but still able to function in the human-sized world; likewise, and un-surprisingly, Goliaths very strong and moderately damage resistant (the "stone" part of their stone giant heritage). While they are (undeservedly) viewed as mentally simple, there have been plenty of Goliath spell-casters (arcane & divine), and cunning war-leaders; those who think all Goliaths are "dumb brutes" when coming into conflict with them, often do not survive to learn from that misconception.

- c.) Dragonborn ~ Judging by the silhouette of the yet-unrevealed tavern girl #6, it is (very probably) a Dragonborn (not the Skyrim kind, but probably inspired by them). Rather obviously from their race-name label, D&D-Dragonborn are descended from humans interbred with dragons. Besides being moderately damage resistant (tough scale-skin), Dragonborn have a breath-attack, whose Elemental-type is based upon their draconic lineage (acid, fire, ice, lightning, etc.). Despite their inhuman appearance, D&D-Dragonborn have a natural charismatic presence that allows them to interact with the common races quite effectively (for Good or for Evil), if given the chance.

Thanks for uploading this, manbearpork. :)

4. [EDITED]: @Ubershank... A valid point, in terms of humans being more racially commonplace in most D&D (campaign setting) worlds. The counter-balance being that everyone (D&D fans-/players-wise, at least) have their own particular 'favorite' D&D race, regardless of D&D rules &/or setting(s). Having a wider racial diversity would thus appeal to more people.

What I might have done...? Have only two elves instead of three. One "regular" elf and one drow, since people love their drow. ;)

5. [EDITED]: page 14-16... Changelings (Matryona) ~ Another hybrid race (apparently the artist likes them over the common D&D races ;) ), Changelings are descended from ancient times' Dopplegangers (shapeshifters) who interbred with humans. Changelings are only able to shapeshift into humanoid forms of relative size & mass, such as most common races (human, dwarf, elf, orc, etc.); they cannot shift into significantly larger forms (giants) or significantly smaller forms (halflings, gnomes) due to size & mass limits. This is unlike Dopplegangers who, as full-shapeshifters, can shift into non-humanoid forms (an animal, a table, a rock formation, a small tree, etc.), though Dopplegangers are also restricted to size & mass limits as well.

In their natural form, Changelings have smooth & hairless grey skin, blank eyes (no pupils, no eyelids, no eyebrows), no nose, small holes for ears, and a thin slit for a mouth. However, most Changelings create and adopt a personally-tailored form (rather than mimicking someone) of one of the common races (usually humans) as their "default" form; for them, this is simply the easiest method for Changelings to avoid any un-necessary problems, or fear/hatred, from their inhuman (natural form) appearance. Also, despite the Changelings' "only humanoid forms" limitation, they are able to change between genders easily. Whether if we will see a (shapeshift-based) 'Futa' Changeling sex-scene, that will be up to the Artist. ;p

@H-Knight
If we're talking DnD, then most of them should be Humans, since Humans are supposed to be the majority. It was more obvious in 2nd edition, which made it harder to play anything other than a human, but not so much in later editions.

So who's the last "Tavern slut"? One has yet to be revealed. It's not Matryona is it? I know she's a changeling, but I feel like they would've put her silhouette as revealed still.
