Images are usually only losslessly compressible by 0-5%, rarely above 10%. How does both zip and 7z do upwards of 20%?

What is in the original images that make it so big? junk data? non-image data(malicious code embedded inside image)?

@Lacquer1 I was surprised at how compressible those pictures were too. I picked a file randomly, checked the EXIF data using Photoshop and test the compression ratio using online tool(https://www.imgonline.com.ua/eng/determine-jpeg-quality.php). I didn't notice obvious difference comparing to pics from other galleries. However I don't think this is convincing even for me. Do you know how to analyse it properly?

Umm...Actually file compression rate results from reasons like repetition of the data or algorithm of the compression itself, probably not because of the quality of the JPG or virus since the content does not effect the compression. Unless you use some compression ways that optimize some kinds of file. Maybe you guys should check how zip or 7zip compress the files.
