Why is Minako even here? The point of a character like her is to be the audience's companion and surrogate in discovering the plot. Knocking her out and explaining huge swathes of the cast and setting is such a bad move because now you'll have to re-explain it to the character in the future when the audience already knows. It's repetitive, and makes your main character look unimportant and irrelevant.

Minako isn't the main character. She's the starting point, yes, but think of it like Game of Thrones. There is no main character, it's about the world they're occupying. I'm glad that you like Minako but overall the story will explore a lot more than just her plot.
