Not super familiar with the DBZ anime filler, but did they ever bring up the fact that Krillin was dating a woman who looked nearly identical to Bulma?

I know that she's non canon filler, but it just looks so strange that they made her design so similar.

While the manga has no connection to to Maron, since she is fillar, as someone who at the time had only watched the anime I was quite confused when they revealed the kids name. I thought to myself, did Krillin really name his baby after an old girlfriend? Either the Kril-Dog completely forgot about her or he's really got a thing for that name.
