Kinda wish the story had started off differently instead of the cover and first two pages. Just feels like it gives away the ending so we know how they will both end up. Still enjoying the story, but I like it more when we are seeing the changes over time and are wondering how far they will go.

Not gonna lie. I was disappointed initially by how the transformation was handled because it looked like the lightning was the catalyst when I first read it, which made it feel so out of the blue that it wasn’t even funny. Now that I’m more awake and I’ve re-read everything, I’m much less disappointed to find that it was her own actions that caused everything and the lightning was just “coincidental” as a dramatic effect.

My first impression was not helped by the artist making it look like the house/window had been struck by lightning on the previous page however. Either way it feels a bit too “Frankenstein”, but I’ll give it a while longer to see how it goes (aside from up his butt of course :{-o)
