Yeah, I think the issue here is the main dude's an asshole. And not in the moustache twiddling, tying a woman to the train tracks way. The ending is sort of played off as a happy one, when it shouldn't be.

Not that there's anything wrong with a story where the villain wins. I just don't feel like the guy who posesses his innocent female friend and rapes her friend through her body then is happy to cheat on her is the villain here. I think he's the protagonist.
