So, the question is, when did she realize it? I would imagine unless he looks exactly like his brother that she must have realized it pretty quickly. That'd explain why she asks about him on pg 4 and that look she gives. So in a way they were both living a lie for awhile, her clinging onto hope through him and him trying to ease the burden. I would have liked a bit more passage of time and (ironically) less sex for the story's sake.
