Well, girls, if you saw a scarlet ibis, you might've been in Gensokyo, but you also might've been in Japari Park. Either way it was probably a helluva weekend.

(Although, upon reflection, it occurs to me that Nipponia nippon is the crested ibis, not the scarlet. The scarlet ibis (Eudocimus ruber) is South American. They mention crested ibises earlier in the story, too, so I think the "scarlet ibis" mention on page 17 is an error.)
