Y'know since this artist exploded onto the scene last year I've very slightly bemoaned the lack of faces on the """"self-insert"""" guys specifically because they feel more defined and it adds this extra layer of weirdness to the proceedings that I kinda appreciate that they have these defined (though vaguely generic) personalities and how nicely they treat our leading ladies.... yet they all look like mannequins. It wasn't until this release that I realized the artist does it to ALL background characters, which makes it extra weird that "the leading man" also gets lumped in with them regarding a lack of detail. The "Clerk" is definitely the perfect compromise design-wise between the two.

I can only presume that Yuruyakatou simply does not want to waste the time or effort designing and drawing the characters besides the ultra-cute super pretty leading Otononokos (who, let's be honest, is the reason we're even here) so they just don't bother, but giving "Clerk" those bangs allows him to have an actual design with the illusion of having a face while still sidestepping the whole "actually having to draw another character's face". At least now I can just PRETEND he has a face and be content with calling this release "a perfect 10/10; would fap again."

It also helps that I totally have a thing for blondes and we finally got one from Yuruyakatou so y'know, three thumbs up from me.

the faceless guys sure is bothering but when I think about it, maybe they're suppossed to look like that because Yuruyakatou self-insert target audience is the MC and again with how different gid issue they make on their doujins, the faceless guys suppossed to be the people the inserts knows/want, like on the previous doujins you can put your crush as the lead faceless guys. That make sense to me.

I'm with you on that one. I can tolerate faceless guys in the story if it has meaning like idk a rapist or something. With those the MC doesnt want to know the guys that's fucking him. But yuruyakatou make romance stories between his characters and one of them is just... there. It's really weird.
I thought that maybe he just doesnt like to put eyes on male characters but like you said even female background characters doesnt have eyes, so I'm lost.
