I have the impression that lewd comic artists usually make stories about things that they feel attracted to or things that most people will want to see. If Reinbach doesn't feel attracted by gay/bi dudes they will mostly be secondary or background characters. If you take a comic artist that draw stuff about futa or yaoi, you'll probably see very few or no straight relationships at all in their comics.
