@SSSdriver, its far more severe then most here seem to realize, Melli is implying the other sneasler was fierce enough that he was unable to capture it even going as far as to say 'maybe I could even train you', now think about how relentlessly he's attacking a Pokemon that isn't fighting back.

Now remember the gemstone that is usually embedded in their chest. It's highly likely her former mate was killed by Melli after a severe battle that left it too injured to survive and that comment was enough to make her snap and clean cut both a pokeball and his hair. Dude is lucky she wasn't half an inch closer cause he wouldn't have a damn face anymore.
